Spring term classes are organized on 15.1.-19.5.2024.
We reserve the right to possible class changes.

Monday / Flamenco studio Mäkitupa

Beginners course autumn 2023

4 times on 4.9., 11.9., 25.9. & 2.10. / We will learn Beginner level soft shoe dance and also get to know the basics of hard shoe dancing. There is no age limit in this course!
Wednesday / Jyväskylän Tanssiopisto

Advanced Beginners / Primary / Intermediate
-
We will practice Beginner, Primary and Intermediate level dances with both soft and hard shoes. We will work on the different movement combinations, jumps and rhythms required on the levels, without forgetting the high-quality basic technique. We will also learn Traditional Set Dances and develop the dancers creativity through treble reel dances.
Sunday / Tampere

Primary / Intermediate (Tampere)

The class is organized on the 1st Sunday of every month. We learn and dance Primary and Intermediate level dances with soft shoes and hard shoes, and work on the movements and techniques required by these levels.
Online classes

Online classes / technique

Online classes are organized according to a separately agreed schedule. Online classes are open to all Primary / Intermediate level dancers and there is no need to register for them separately.
Registration for the weekly classes
- You can join to our dance classes in Jyväskylä at any time of the year!
- Please note that the registration is binding for the whole year 2023-2024 and indicates acceptance of the dance school's rules.
- If you wish to cancel your registration before the turn of the term, you can do so free of charge no later than 2 weeks before the start of the next term by email.
- For cancellations made late, the dance school has the right to charge the tuition fee in full. Cancellations are not possible in the middle of the term.
Please note that the dance school does not provide insurance for dancers and therefore,
everyone is responsible for their own insurance in case of injuries.

MONDAY
Monday’s classes are held in
Jyväskylä Flamenco Association’s flamenco studio Mäkitupa (the last yellow house on the hill).
The studio is easily accessible by public transport, there is free parking space nearby.

Wednesday’s classes are held in
Jyväskylä Dance Institute’s studio in Kalervonkatu.
The studio is easily accessible by public transport, there is plenty of free parking space nearby.

Sunday’s classes in Tampere are held in
Tampere Flamenco Association’s studio.

Absence from classes in Jyväskylä
Missed classes can be compensated for by attending any of our weekly classes in Jyväskylä, Helsinki, Turku or Tampere if the student has registered for at least one (1) weekly class.
- Missed classes from spring 2023 can be made up until end of autumn term 2023.
- Please note that you can’t make up absences during the summer classes or at separate courses (f.ex. Feis prep or TCRG workshops).
- If you are unable to be present during classes due to illness etc., we can arrange an online class via Zoom / Teams.
- If you fall seriously ill or have to be absent from classes for a long time, please contact us and we’ll work out a more flexible arrangement for making up the missed classes.
